This book offered a real puzzle as to how it should be classified since it is a unique union of fiction, fact, art and photography. The latter two are so skillfully accomplished that it is sometimes difficult to be sure which medium is being employed in the illustrations. The book is all about the Oregon trail and each chapter begins with a fictional account of a fictional family making that journey written by the author, Rick Steber. It is followed by reminiscences taken from interviews of the last survivors of the last wagon travelers of the Oregon trail. Fine condition. (100/150).
