Sharon Gee joined PBA Galleries January 1, 2013. Although her career has been focused on sales and marketing of medical equipment, she has been a lifelong bibliophile. She reads approximately 30 books a year, mostly contemporary fiction, collecting modern firsts including Asian American writers. She has been a member of same book discussion group since 1994. During the last few years, she has taken classes in the book arts at the San Francisco Center for the Book and from Kitty Maryatt of Scripps College and Two Hands Press.
Under Ms. Gee’s ownership, PBA Galleries will continue to concentrate on obtaining important consignments and providing expert descriptions of the items for sale. In addition, she will work to bring PBA Galleries auction sales to the attention of buyers worldwide.
Ms. Gee was recently elected to the Board of Directors of the Book Club of California. She holds season tickets to UCLA football and basketball games and is an avid skier. She spends her spare time volunteering with GSGLA Troop 13516-MSS Morning Star, Guide Dogs of America, and, of course, reading.
