Murdoch in correspondence to Hal Gevertz. 14 letters are typed and signed; one letter is autographed & signed on back of a personalized printed Christmas & New Years four part opening greeting card by Murdoch. Each letter with Murdoch's signature letterhead with address and logo of golfer swinging. Dates include: April 13, 1979; March 26, 1982; Oct.21, 1983; March 13, 1984; Nov.24, 1984; April 26, 1987; April 4, 1991; Dec.11, 1993; Sept.22, 1994; |

Also, includes golf related newspaper clippings in back; four page magazine article on Joseph Murdoch (with picture) from Golf Digest, July 1982. Everything is in its own plastic page holder, all inside three ring binder. Joseph Murdoch along with Bob Kuntz of Dayton, OH, are largely responsible for making an organized effort to perserve important golf artifacts. Both men are the founders of the Golf Collectors Society back in 1970. Joseph Murdoch's golf library auction held at Pacific Book Auction Galleries, June 16 & 17, 1998, resulted in some of the highest paid prices for collectable golfiana. |
