Description:
90 audio cassette tapes of poetry readings, book readings, speeches, interviews, etc., many recorded live, most are re-recorded on to various blank tapes, and 10 are issued from The Naropa Institute Archives with the official paper inserts. Together, 90 tapes. All placed inside a single wooden case measuring 18½"x24," with individual slots.
Beat authors, later beat authors and other contemporary authors from the 1970's, 1980's and 1990's. Includes: Philip K. Dick, Allen Ginsberg, Lawrence Ferlinghetti, William S. Burroughs, Robert Creeley, Gary Snyder, Kerouac's "October in the Railroad Earth," D.R. Wagner, Robert Bly, B.L. Kennedy, Anne Waldman, Ken Kesey, Sylvia Plath. An interesting collection from various authors recorded in their voice or interviews, many possibly one of kind and rather hard to find. Formerly collection of the poet B.L. "Bary" Kennedy.
Condition:
Tapes appear to be fine and in working condition, no noticeable wear; cases sturdy, generally near fine; sold as is.
