| 7 original black and white hand-drawn cartoon drawings; 3 by John Hayes, 4 by Walter "Walt" C. Brzoza. Hayes cartoons (8½x11), and Brzoza cartoons (8½x11), taped on heavy card stock (11x12¾). Brzoza cartoons each with an official address rubberstamp from the artist, from Schenectady, NY. |
| Couple of Brzoza cartoons with white-out and retracing with same black pen, one with a cut-out and a later revision by the artist. Each cartoon of a humorous golfing situation or scene, including a gorilla walking off with a golfer's club, Tom's Golf Repair, Persimmon Woods with a wooden golf head with a plant growing out of it and caption "Do I Sand It or Plant It?"; a frustrated golfing father with mother covering the eyes of their son; a man and woman golf scene with the woman telling the man "You mean you want me to 'give you the shaft'?"; a customer interest in a club with caption from owner "That particular club was used by Bobby Jones - although I had to replace the grip, shaft and head." From the collection of Charles Yaws, former Director and was the first Administrator of the U.S. Golf Collector's Society. |
