Description:
Two original black and white photographs taken by Ansel Adams. Each rubberstamped on the verso "Photography by Ansel Adams," one with "#18" in pencil and "59" in black ink measuring 9½x13¼, the other with "#22" in pencil and "60" in black ink measuring 12½"x8¾."
Two interesting views of a mansion along the California coast line, probably near Pebble Beach. One photo with a cypress tree in the backdrop which is between the house and the coast line; the other photo with a fountain in a the courtyard towards the middle of the image. Other rubberstamps on the verso include "Taken for Fortune by___" and "Fortune Picture Not to be used for advertising or promotion."
Condition:
Photographs with some bending or curving and creases to edges, corners somewhat bumped (one corner more so with slight paper loss); one with a ½" tear, the other with a 1" tear, else about very good, overall.
