Beige pictorial cloth, color pictorial jacket by Elmer Hader; housed in a custom duo-tone blue and black cloth clamshell box with gilt-lettered morocco spine label. First Edition.
First edition of Steinbeck's most influential work. The jacket flap corners are evenly clipped (as usual) with the original printed price and "First Edition" statement still preserved. Goldstone-Payne A12.a.
Condition:
Minor nicks to jacket edges, ½" scuff wear to lower front flap fold; still a fine copy in like jacket - better copies are rarely seen, this being one of the best we've ever offered. With an attractively produced and fine clamshell box.
