Dark blue paper over boards with a gilt-lettered black cloth spine, top page edge stained light blue, jacket. First Edition, First Printing.
Classic Kerouac title, written in 10 days during his trek into the Big Sur wilderness area to kick alcohol, where he stayed at the cabin owned by Lawrence Ferlinghetti. Charters A17a.
Condition:
Light rubbing and faint foxing to jacket, ½" tear to top rear panel with short tape repair on verso; minor shelf wear; bookplate of Roger K. Larson; else near fine in a very good jacket.
