Description:
Edited, with an Introduction by Mark Robison. 6¾x¾, pictorial wrappers, both with semi-translucent light blue free endpaper sheets, staple-bound ("proof state"). First Edition, both the correct First Issues.
Both copies, the true first issue / "proof state," in the original staple binding. Robison, the editor, was dissatisfied with the first round of the book and threw out all but 15 copies. The first is one of those rare 15 first issue copies not thrown away; the second is the first issue, but has considerable amounts of extra wear as caused by the Robison. With Anacapa Books (of Oakland) printed envelope with typed description for the first and Ed Blair's hand-written statement for the second copy. Together, 2 volumes. Morgan A22.
Condition:
First copy with only minor wear, about fine; second copy with front cover nearly detached, edge wear, scuffs, etc.; else good.
