Swain Gifford, with printed tissue-guards; plus photogravure frontispiece portrait of Roosevelt in a Rough Riders uniform. 11x8, period half brown morocco and marbled boards (possibly by the publisher), ruled in gilt, spine lettered in gilt, raised bands, marbled endpapers, hinges reinforced with green cloth, top edge gilt. No. 408 of 1000 large paper copies, hand-numbered with Putnam's Sons facsimile autograph. |
