| Pencil inscription by Burgess reads, "This is one of the few 'Murdock' Larks printed before forms were unlocked and Doxey's name put in as publisher. None were sold but a few were given by Bruce Porter & me to our friends," signed and dated 1939. |

| Dampstain on spine of slipcase; both publications very delicate; yellowing, chipped edges; The Purple Cow! split at spine, with some darker yellow coloring, and short closed tears on the edges and gutters; good. |
