I started collecting sporting books in the early 1960’s. At that time there were many used book stores in the greater Los Angeles area. One of my favorite used book stores was Acres of Books in the city of Long Beach. In the early 1960’s and 70’s I purchased some fine books at that store. Also, during this time I corresponded with many sporting book dealers including several dealers in England. Over the years I tended to specialize in quality books about angling. I have attended book shows in New York, Boston, and , of course, in Los Angeles. It has been a wonderful experience for me. Now is the time to share my books with other collectors. I haven’t entirely given up book collecting. I will continue to look for scarce and fine books on angling.
