The first edition of this collection of medical works (with these nine parts) was published in Geneva in 1696. This is the first Lyon edition. It is surprisingly scarce. It contains three works by Richard Morton, and a total of six other works by four authors, Walter Harris, Gulielmi Cole (two titles), Martin Lister (two titles), and Thomas Sydenham. The Harris title: "De Morbis Acutis Infantum“ is of particular importance. Harris (1647-1732) was physician to William and Mary. His book served for nearly a century as a standard work on paediatrics. He anticipated the modern treatment of tetany by using calcium salts in infantile convulsions. For a study of the book, see Ann. med. Hist., 1919, 2, 228-40. English translation 1693, 1742.”--See Garrison-Morton 6321, citing the London, 1689 first edition of the Harris."
