Held in the cradle of American Golf, Southern Pines, North Carolina, PBA Galleries Sale 629: Fine Golf Books, Hickory Clubs, & Golf Memorabilia, Including the Golfing Library of Ron Muszalski, Part I, offers 400 lots of golfing history. Headlining the sale is an 1881 original oil painting of the 17th Green at Hoylake by F.P. “Shortspoon” Hopkins, a rare opportunity to acquire a key work of golfing art. Many cornerstone works in the literature of the game are offered, along with numerous rare and desirable titles that have not crossed the auction block in many years. A number of rarities from the library of Joseph Murdoch, first sold by PBA Galleries in 1998, return to the market here. Championship programs, hickory clubs, early golf balls, prints, paintings, rare pamphlets and other memorabilia and ephemeral items are included throughout the sale.
The sale and preview will be held at the Pine Needles & Mid Pines Resort in Southern Pines, the venue of the Golf Collectors' Society Annual Meeting and Trade Show.

PBA Dynamic Bidding
When you place an absentee bid online, PBA's Dynamic Bidding will calculate your absentee bid against competing absentee bids and determine the current high bid amount. So, for example, if you place an absentee bid of $200 on an item with a minimum bid of $100, you will be notified that you are the high bidder and the bid is at $100. If a second bidder then places a bid of $150, your bid will be incremented up to $160. The under bidder will also be notified by email that their bid was outbid with a link to the item to enter a higher bid if desired. The current high bid will be the starting bid when the lot comes up in the live auction itself. In addition to providing full transparency, Dynamic Bidding will allow you to make more informed decisions.
