Over 500 lots of fine literature and poetry. The first 121 lots in the auction comprise a selection of mystery and detective fiction, with a large section dedicated to the works of Arthur Conan Doyle, featuring many first and scarce editions of titles from his iconic Sherlock Holmes series. Also featured are desirable titles by Ian Fleming, Rex Stout, and Dashiell Hammett, among other classic writers of the genre. The second section comprises a large selection of scarce literature and poetry from the 19th and 20th centuries. Featured are a number of scarcer works by Charles Bukowsi and Raymond Carver, many signed. Also well represented are many other perennially collectible authors of the 20th century, including William Faulkner, Ernest Hemingway, and John Steinbeck. Present as well are rare signed titles by Jean-Paul Sartre, Arthur Miller, and others.

PBA Dynamic Bidding
When you place an absentee bid online, PBA's Dynamic Bidding will calculate your absentee bid against competing absentee bids and determine the current high bid amount. So, for example, if you place an absentee bid of $200 on an item with a minimum bid of $100, you will be notified that you are the high bidder and the bid is at $100. If a second bidder then places a bid of $150, your bid will be incremented up to $160. The under bidder will also be notified by email that their bid was outbid with a link to the item to enter a higher bid if desired. The current high bid will be the starting bid when the lot comes up in the live auction itself. In addition to providing full transparency, Dynamic Bidding will allow you to make more informed decisions.
