In 1985 a lawsuit accused the late Estle Beard of plagiarizing her chapters within this book. The lawsuit resulted in the declaration of this book to be out of print. At that point no further copies were to be sold, and no further editions, paperback or otherwise to be produced. This explains the scarcity of this first and only edition.
