Crow Dog was tried and convicted of the killing of the Sioux chief Spotted Tail in 1881 but was later freed when the U.S. Supreme Court ruled that the territorial government had no jurisdiction over the crime.

Light spotting and scratching to surface, mount worn at edges and with several pin holes; very good.
