Lawrence Ferlinghetti is the co-founder of City Lights bookstore, and editor of their publications. He is well known for being the publisher, and defender, of Allen Ginsberg's Howl which was tried in court for obscenity. He is also a poet, painter and activist. One volume in the lot is a color catalog of his artwork.
