Fifty-one volumes (complete). Each volume with three frontispieces, most are hand-colored engravings, however a number of volumes have an original watercolor illustration by H.C. Green. (4to) 26.5x17.5 cm (10½x7") publisher's original "autumn leaf" binding of crushed and laminated full morocco with green, red, and yellow dyes in the grain, decorative gilt borders with thistle devices at the corners with black morocco onlays, Scott's armorial device at center in gilt with purple morocco onlays, spines in five compartments divided by raised bands, two of the compartments are lettered in gilt, the remaining three with gilt thistle devices, one with brown morocco onlays, dentelles with repeating gilt thistle design, white morocco doublures with Scott's arms at center in gilt with purple morocco onlay, burgundy moire silk endleaves, all edges gilt. No. 2 of 12 copies of the "Extra-Illustrated Edition".

A rare and beautiful edition, rarely encountered. Only two complete sets appear in the auction records, having sold in 1993 & 1999.
