173 pp. Color frontispiece and many black and white internal illustrations by Pauline Baynes. 7¾x5¼, pale green cloth, pictorial dust jacket, custom cloth slipcase. First Edition, First Impression.

The first in C.S. Lewis' legendary series following the adventures of four children in another world. Jacket bears code on bottom of rear flap "APT/S573."

Condition:

Jacket lightly browned, heavily chipped with tape repairs on verso, 1½" portion trimmed from front flap (price and portion of title clipped away); name inked on front free endpaper, slight edge wear to volume, a few dampstains to rear cover, spine faded; overall good.
