Volume II only. 13¼x9¼, full limp vellum. Publisher's Dummy from the limitation of 500 copies.

Very rare and probably unique publisher's dummy of the Doves Press Bible, inscribed in ink on front free endpaper: "Dummy made for binding. T.J. Cobden-Sanderson." There are a large number of manuscript notes in the margins, in red and blue ink, intended for possible inclusion in the 5-volume Doves Press Bible, meant to be printed in gold lettering. There are also paragraph marks in the text in red and blue ink. A unique dummy from Cobden-Sanderson's Doves Press, indicating internal functioning of the press.

Condition:

Some normal discoloration of the vellum; faint foxing to flyleaves and page edges, else near fine.
