List of 30 signatures of the jurists from the 1825 competition at the Paris Conservatoire (known at this time as the Ecole royale de musique et de declamation). The list of signatures includes: Luigi Cherubin, director from 1822-1841, reportedly regarded by Beethoven as the greatest of his contemporaries; Victor Charles Dourlen, composer of several comic operas, sonatas for piano, flute, and violin etc; Anton Reicha, writer and composer, contemporary and friend of Beethoven, amongst whose students were Franz Liszt and Hector Berlioz; Henri Montan Berton, (Berton fils) son of Pierre Montan Berton, he was a theorist, violinist, conductor and composer; François Antoine Habeneck founding conductor of the Orchestre de La Societe des Concerts du Conservatoire in 1828 the symphonies of Beethoven were first played in France; et al.
