219 + [1] pp. Woodcut vignette on title-page, head- and tailpieces throughout. 9¾x7¾, full period speckled calf with raised bands. Second Published Edition. This edition was typeset by Benjamin Franklin, who wrote in his Autobiography: "At Palmer's famous printing-house...I was employed in composing the second edition of Wollaston's Religion of Nature." The book was printed in 1722 in a small private edition filled with errors and circulated without Wollaston's knowledge. It was reprinted in 1724 at the end of Wollaston's life. Bookplate of Charles Legh Hoskins Master on front pastedown.
