Dark blue paper over boards with a gilt-lettered black cloth spine, top page edge stained light blue (faded), jacket. First Edition, First Printing.

Classic Kerouac title, written in 10 days during his trek into the Big Sur wilderness area to kick alcohol, where he stayed at the cabin owned by Lawrence Ferlinghetti. Charters A17a.

Condition:

Small chips chiefly at jacket spine ends, a few tears (one being 2"), soiling, scattered old dampstains (mostly to lower areas), price clipped; light shelf wear, faint / tiny stains to page edges, still very good or better, jacket good or better.
