The autograph limericks by Miller are suitable bawdy, the first beginning: "There was a man from Bel Air/ who was screwing his wife on the stairs..." and the second: "There was a young maid of Chin Chin/ whose supreme delight was to commit a sin..." The quatrain is from the other side of the spectrum: "The flower is loveliest when/ drenched in the morning's dew..." From the personal library of Henry Miller.
