Inscribed and signed by Murdoch on the half-title verso: "With very best wishes...and good collecting...and good golfing, Joseph S.F. Murdoch." Also, a typed letter signed by Murdoch, laid-in, on Golf Collectors Society letterhead, dated June 1, 1992: "Dear Richard: Please pardon this delay in getting your book back to you. I went in the hospital on April 28 had a by-pass operation on May 1 and am just now home and getting my strength back. I am flattered by your request and hope that my inscription is acceptable. Sincerely, Joe." Nice copy of the first thorough and important golf bibliography, which incorporates many fine annotations and commentary by Murdoch. Donovan & Murdoch 64280.
