vi, [4], 84 pp. With a frontispiece photogravure portrait of Thomson and his facsimile autograph underneath, with loosely laid-in paper-guard. 8x5¼, gilt-lettered olive-green cloth. First Trade Edition.

Gift inscription on half-title: "To Mr. John Hay from his friend and wellwisher, Wm. Doleman, Dec. 1905." William Doleman was an accomplished player from Lytham-St. Annes and the son of Alexander Doleman, a senior member of the club. Donovan & Murdoch 4520; Murdoch 775.

Condition:

Slight fading to spine and margins, ends a bit worn, corners lightly bumped; offsetting to endpapers; else very good and clean.
