vii, [7], 242, [2] + [4] ad pp. With 48 illustrations, mostly plates from photographs, a diagram and a color tinted frontispiece with author's facsimile autograph and tissue-guard. 7½x5¼, original gilt-lettered and decorated green cloth, pictorial cover label. First Edition, Second printing.

Travers played a large part in the development of golf in America. Donovan & Murdoch 37090; Murdoch 783.

Condition:

Rubbing, shelf wear, a few short scratches and nicks to cover label; hinges cracked, most plates once cut-out but all present and tape repaired along inner hinge side, previous owner's signature (B.M. Braine?); about very good.
