First Edition.

Signed in pencil on the front cover: "Compliments of the Author." Murdoch explains this a "book that describes golf by going through the alphabet, this one illustrated with unusual illustrations printed by stone lithograph methods." Includes the extremely scarce pictorial cover label (intact), which is often lacking. Donovan & Murdoch 4560; Murdoch 823. Bookplate of Mary E. Hemenway laid down on the lower title page margin (not affecting text or illustration).
