[8], [3]-350 pp., ad leaf. With 2 engraved plates by J. Noel Paton, including the frontispiece. 8x6, rebound in full dark blue calf ruled in gilt, circular vignette of the original cover cloth inset in front cover, raised spine bands, new endpapers, top edges gilt. First Edition.

Apparently the second issue, without the L'Envoi leaf inserted after the dedication-page. Early owner's inscription on front flyleaf, dated Jan. 7, '64.

Condition:

Some rubbing to covers; soiling to contents, good to very good.
