One of the earliest serious Atlases of the Americas, originally published in 1776, as" The American Atlas: or, a Geographical Description of the whole continent of America: wherein are delineated at large, its several regions, countries, states, and islands; and chiefly the British Colonies... Contains maps of the whole continent, although the more detailed maps show the then British territories along the eastern seaboard as well as Quebec, Newfoundland and Nova Scotia.
