451 pp. With 15 color plates from paintings by Dr. Edgar Burke showing multiple varieties of tied flies; 1 color plate showing fly-tying materials; line drawings in the text by Ivin Stickles; plates from photographs of fly tying by Charles S. Krug. 9¼x6½, full morocco illustrated in gilt on the front cover, spine ruled & lettered in gilt with vignette of a fly, raised bands, marbled endpapers, t.e.g.; slipcase. No. 20 of 149 copies of the deluxe edition. First Edition.

Signed by Bergman on the limitation-page and inscribed "Yours sincerely". This copy without the extra suite of plates.

Condition:

Light wear to joints, spine a little sunned; few minor marginal stains; frontispiece a little wrinkled; period gift inscription, pp. 265/6 & 267/8 are supplied from a similar edition, with margins extended; near fine.
