Description:

Watercolor and collage on handmade paper, 14x19½. Signed by the artist in the image, "Karas". Captioned with title of book illustrated and 18/19 (probably page numbers where it appeared).

Original illustration artwork from "Into This Night We Are Rising", published in 1993. Wonderful image of eight pajama-clad children riding a purple dragon through the clouds. The verso has two identification labels. G. Brian Karas has illustrated over 60 children's books since 1983. He is based in Rhinebeck, NY.
