Maps show the 1874 Minnesota counties and cities with good detail, showing the streets, rivers, lakes, buildings, railroads, parks, etc. Maps of Northern Minnesota show early large county configurations. Numerous lithographed views and portraits, including the residence of Dr. W. W. Mayo, the founder of the precursor to the Mayo Clinic, which was formalized and expanded by his sons. There is also a portrait of Mayo. The double-page maps include: United States showing Dakota as a single state; Minnesota; Minneapolis; St. Paul; Counties of Brown and Nicollet; Mankato; Winona County (black and white); Winona City; Northern Minnesota, and others.
