With 78 hand-colored maps (60 are double-page with U.S. railroad map black and white and with printed red lines), plus numerous inset maps. (Folio) 19x13½, original full red morocco, front cover lettered in gilt, all edges gilt.

Complete American and foreign atlas, divided into two sections (Eastern Hemisphere and Western Hemisphere). Includes all of the United States as of 1886, including Montana, Texas, California, Arizona, Wyoming, Nevada, etc.

Condition:

Covers detached, spine perished, leather chipped and rubbed; rear signature detached, maps of Oregon and Washington nearly detached, occasional marginal fingering; maps very good to near fine - binding worthy of restoration.
