Description:

Title-page, contents leaf & 47 hand-colored lithographed maps, all but a few double-page. 21x12½, half morocco & cloth.

Maps of both the ancient and modern world; the map of North America shows Texas and California each colored separately from Mexico, but clearly not yet incorporated into the United States.

Condition:

Covers rubbed, worn and stained, cloth peeling off the front boards; a few maps with short tears, North American map split 3" up centerfold, occasional offset, overall very good.
