With 46 hand-colored engraved maps (13 are double page) on 27 map-sheets. (Folio) 15¾x14, original ¼ black morocco and dark green cloth, front cover lettered in gilt, hinges reinforced.

Detailed city and township maps showing various railroad lines, buildings (churches, toll houses, mills, schools), plot numbers, streets, rivers (Whitewater River), cemeteries, parks, etc. Double-page maps include: Hagerstown; Wayne; North part of Richmond; South part of Richmond; First Ward of Richmond; Second and Third Wards of Richmond; Fourth Ward or Richmond; Fifth Ward of Richmond; Centreville; Jackson; Cambridge City (folding); Indiana; and the United States. Phillips Atlases 3741.

Condition:

Leather worn and scuffed, soiling, corners bumped; binding shaken, occasional fingering and faint foxing, small crease to folding map, ink marks on front pastedown; maps clean with coloring still bright, else very good.
