The original 1784 first edition was the first American school geography and the first American book describing the western country. This is one of the "22 reprs. issued by 1820." The two maps include a double-hemisphere map of the world as the frontispiece (with additional creases) and a map of North America (faint and tiny dampstain on verso). Howes M842.
