309 pp. Illustrated with drawings by Neill. 8¾x6½, dark red cloth, pictorial cover label; black & white pictorial endpapers. First Edition, First Printing.

First printing, in 16-page gatherings; title on spine printed diagonally, with the "Scalawagons" hyphenated on two lines & with "OZ" printed as a stylized device. Hanff & Greene XXXV, Plate 95.

Condition:

Slightly leaning spine mildly sunned, a few scattered dark stains and light rubbing to cover label, minor rubbing to rear cover, corners and spine ends a bit bumped; hinges cracked, ownership page and small portion of front free endpaper colored in with crayon; else very good.
