[2], iv, 165, [1] pp. Illustrated with a frontispiece and five plates, and text illustrations. (12mo) 6½x4, 19th century calf gilt-ruled, spine gilt in compartments, gilt turn-ins, top edge gilt; original wrappers bound in at back.

The humorous plates depict contented smokers from around the world, and one scene of Scottish snuff-taking.

Condition:

Light darkening to spine and two small dampstains to covers; the wrappers with some minor toning and a period gift inscription to front wrapper. Overall in fine condition.
