292, [39] pp. 6½x4, period morocco, the covers panelled with gilt fillets and extensive tooling, such as wreaths, fleurs-de-lys, rosettes, etc and in the center of the panels the gilt monogram "BRD" underneath a crown, spine with gilt-stamped rosettes and wreaths, board edges gilt-ruled, all edges gilt.

Lovely armorial binding. Provenance: Early gift inscription in Latin on front free endpaper - armorial binding - two gilt stamps of a muzzled bear within a shield - bookplate of Oscar Ehrhardt Lancaster.
