6 volumes, comprising the first and second series. With steel-engraved frontispiece portraits. 8¾x5½, later ¾ gilt-rulied blue morocco & marbled boards, spines tooled in gilt, raised bands, marbled endpapers, top edges gilt.

Historically significant.

Condition:

Some scuffing and wear to spines and corners, a few joints cracked or cracking; generally very good.
