162 pp. Half-title. 7x4½, period red morocco-backed boards, spine gilt. Second Edition.

Presentation copy, inscribed by the author on the half-title: "a Henri Merault / son viel ami / A Dumas fils / avril 1855". Le Demi-monde is one of Dumas' best-known plays. Dumas fils was the illegitimate and much-beloved, son of the author of the Three Musketeers.

Condition:

Corners showing, rubbing to spine ends; some pale toning. Overall in very good condition.
