Lovely selection of chromolithographed plates which first appeared in the German work Die Schönsten Stauden by Max Hesdörffer. The present edition has been extensively altered, and adapted to "make the work of really practical use to the British cultivator." A large number of the text leaves are lined, blank "Memoranda" leaves, not used in this copy.
