Description:

4¼x3¼, with brass mat and protector, in lower half of a thermoplastic union case.

Nice full portrait of a rather dangerous looking soldier, with a sword in each hand, a revolver tucked in his belt. His uniform buttons, belt buckle, sword handles, etc., are tinted in gold. The painted studio backdrop is a camp scene with stacked rifles, a waving flag, mortor, etc. The inside of the union case bears the imprint of Homleds, Booth & Haydens Daguerreotype, Phoitographic and Ambrotype Goods.

Condition:

Emulsion a little tarnished around the edges with a few minor cracks, else very good.
