Inscribed and signed by Zane Grey in green ink on the front free endpaper "To Dr. George McCoy, who was good to my friend Lone Angler [Wilborn], with the compliments of Zane Grey." "Lone Angler" Wilborn was a good friend of Zane Grey's dating back to his college days, whom Grey later met again on Catalina Island. This is Dr. George Washington McCoy's copy who was the doctor who attended to Wilborn. With Harper's code "K-V" on copyright page. Dr. George Washington McCoy's armorial bookplate on the front pastedown.
