First Edition. After crossing the plains, Loomis and his brothers sold cattle in the mining camps before settling in Weaverville, Trinity County. Except for a bookplate signed by the daughters of the author and one of the captains of the company, this issue is identical to one issued simultaneously and limited to 300 copies.
