Family history and genealogy; Hyrum Smith Phelps was born in Nauvoo, Illinois, in 1836 into a Mormon family, and arrived in Salt Lake City in 1851. In 1884 he was tried for polygamy, upon being convicted received only 90 days and no fine. A fascinating document, a large family traced through a number of generations.
