Description:
Each snapshot approx. 2½x3½, few larger. A few with captions in the negative, apparently commercially available photos, but most candid shots taken by amateurs. Mounted in three albums, two of later vintage, some pictures coming loose.
Fascinating look at soldier life in Cairo and adjacent parts of Egypt during the latter stages of World War II, with street scenes, beach scenes, remains of destroyed equipment, the pyramids, etc. The last dozen or so are of New York City, bracing itself for the returning heroes.
