Illustrated with approximately 200 chromolithograph plates; wood engraved vignettes throughout. 7¼x5, bound in half green morocco, marbled boards, two gilt-lettered morocco spine labels, spines decoratively tooled in gilt, gilt ruled, marbled endpapers, a.e.g. Each chromolithographic plate accompanied with four pages of text. Volumes includes first to fifth books in the series. Bound by Bickers & Son of London with their small rubberstamp to the front flyleaf of each volume.

Spines a bit dulled, joints and extremities lightly rubbed; slight marginal darkening, plates fine, else very good to near fine overall.
